Curated is a specialized agency curation service that pairs select design and creative firms with clients who want a high-end talent working on their projects. Their goal is to fit a niche that is unaddressed in the current work-for-hire market. Instead of focusing on the lowest common denominator, Curated aims to connect parties who desire a higher standard of collaboration, with each other. Curated required a mature brand identity, desktop website and print collateral for their launch in November 2017.
The wordmark for Curated is a subtly modified version the typeface Télémaque. The mark is designed to be unique, and convey that the company is an established, trusted figure in the agency curation market. This lead to the employment of a modern and attractive serif typeface, contained within a bold and confident holding shape.
Due to the nature of the service, Curated required a desktop-only site. Their rationale was that users would predominantly be using a laptop or desktop browser to submit project proposals and bids. The site is focused around three user flows: clients, who submit projects for bids; curators, who release projects to select agencies for bidding; and agencies, who submit bids on projects. While all user needs are similar, each portal is slightly different.
